Beschreibung: This 19th-century stoneware jar features a meticulously crafted hunting scene, depicting two hunting dogs chasing a wild boar. The relief depiction of the hunt around the entire circumference of the jar is masterfully executed, with an emphasis on the dynamics of movement and the drama of the moment. The jar is finished with a brown glaze that beautifully highlights all the details of the hunting motif. The jar was originally complemented by a pewter lid, which is now missing.
