Beschreibung: This historical micrograph barograph by Short & Mason, Tycos from London, is a unique collector's item likely manufactured in the early 20th century in Great Britain. This instrument was used for precise measurement and recording of atmospheric pressure, which was essential, especially in meteorological stations and on naval ships for weather forecasting and monitoring pressure changes. The instrument is made of high-quality brass and metal with an emphasis on precise craftsmanship. It is equipped with a compensation mechanism for temperature changes, as indicated by the inscription "Compensated for Temperature, Chart No 131" on the mechanism's arm. The Tycos Micro-Barograph model with serial number K6329 features a rotating paper drum driven by a clockwork mechanism, on which a recording pen continuously records changes in atmospheric pressure. This precise instrument reflects a high level of craftsmanship and is one of the representative models of the renowned London company Short & Mason.
