Beschreibung: This decorative item from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries consists of a finely detailed bronze sculpture of a seated cavalier in historical Renaissance attire, placed on a massive polished onyx pedestal. The figure of the courtier, with a bronze patina, is captured in an elegant pose that contrasts with the monumental honey-veined structure of the natural stone. The item is in excellent condition and represents a classic example of the taste in bourgeois interiors of that era, where similar paperweights served as functional artistic desk accessories.
