Beschreibung: This decorative footed vase is an example of demanding glass craftsmanship, combining the technique of layered glass and hand-painting. The vase is made of clear, richly ruby-colored glass, which is shaped with an external white glaze and subsequent cut-through decoration into medallions (lenses) and vertical surfaces, through which the underlying red layer shines. The surface of the white glass is richly adorned with delicate hand-painting featuring small flowers and roses. The upper rim and the borders of the cut-through areas are highlighted with real gold lines. The vase stands on a massive, cut-out foot that bears the same floral decor.
