This unique ceramic inkwell (kalamář) is an authentic example of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, likely from the Fes or Safi region. The item features rich hand-painted decor with typical Moorish geometric and floral motifs, rendered in vibrant colors on a cream background. A characteristic feature is the delicate crazing of the glaze, which underscores its age and authenticity. The inkwell has a specific construction with holes for dipping pens and an internal ink container.
