Beschreibung: This late 19th-century fireplace garniture consists of a three-piece set of a clock and two accompanying pedestals in the Neoclassical (Empire) style. The entire assembly is made of solid black stone (marble/slate) and decorated with contrasting gilded elements, four columns, and a precisely crafted antique scene with warriors in the upper tympanum. The clock has a light dial with Arabic numerals and the inscription "Made in France". Inside is an original French movement from the renowned Marti et Cie manufactory, evidenced by the famous flying swallow mark with the initials MB embossed on the brass plate. The movement bears a patina of age and traces of dust. The functionality of the clock has not been tested. This representative set constitutes an exceptional collector's artifact and a majestic interior decoration.
