Beschreibung: This charming historical jug from the First Republic era represents a fine example of traditional Czechoslovak ceramic production. The piece was manufactured by the renowned brand Ditmar-Urbach, as evidenced by the characteristic underglaze stamp with a winged arrow and the inscription “DITMAR-U.A.G. / HANDMALEREI” on the bottom. The jug features a plump shape, a prominent handle, and an asymmetrically shaped spout. The surface is covered with a yellowish glaze with a subtle speckled effect, complemented on the front by a striking, hand-painted motif of blooming wildflowers with a dominant red poppy. The ceramic is in authentic found condition with natural patina and a small chip on the bottom edge near the base. It is a beautiful collector's item of First Republic utility ceramics, perfect as a decoration for a cottage, a rustic interior, or a collection.
