Beschreibung: This opulent historical jardinière is a splendid example of decorative utility ceramics from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The vessel is made of ceramic material covered with a rich, deep cobalt blue glaze with a high sheen. The model number 1080 is embossed on the bottom. The vessel stands out with its articulated, richly shaped body, which transitions into a wavy, plastically decorated rim at the top and smoothly connects to integrated feet at the bottom. The surface is meticulously adorned with elaborate hand-painting – combining delicate golden floral ornaments, arabesques, and tiny florets executed in white and light blue enamel with a relief structure. The item is in very well-preserved condition with natural patina. Small old chips and fraying are visible on the underside of the feet, but these do not detract from the aesthetic value or stability of this luxurious piece during normal viewing. The jardinière will serve as an exceptional standalone piece for both historical and modern interiors or as a distinguished addition to a collection of antique ceramics.
