Beschreibung: This charming historical mantel or table clock in neoclassical style was made in France during the 19th century. The massive and elegantly shaped body is carved from light, semi-translucent marble or alabaster with subtle natural veining. The circular dial bears gilded Roman numerals. On the back plate of the clock movement, a circular seal mark of the Parisian watchmaker is embossed: “J. GAUTIER / A PARIS”. The item is offered in authentic found condition with clear signs of long age and wear. Both clock hands are missing, and the functionality of the mechanical movement has not been tested. The item is intended exclusively for repair, complete restoration, or as a valuable source of spare parts or a stylish period decoration.
