Beschreibung: A decorative pair of cast brass wall sconces, crafted in the Empire style. The circular wall plates are adorned with sculptural lion heads, while the arms take the form of stylized swans and are complemented by rich ornamentation. The sconces were originally designed for classic candles, but were later converted to electric lighting. The surviving sockets and wiring are therefore a more recent modification. The condition corresponds to their age – showing patina, oxidation, and common signs of use.
