Beschreibung: The painting depicts a scene showing several figures resting by a hot oven, located in the Schuibeng area. The work is executed in a drawing technique with watercolor coloring on paper, which gives the scene a delicate color palette and character. The style of writing and painting technique refer to the artistic creation of the early 20th century. In the lower right corner is a signature, which is currently difficult to read, making precise identification of the author challenging. On the work itself is a handwritten text in German: 'KOPIE SKIZZE SCHUIBENG FRA LAS RASTTAG BEIM BACKOFEN DIENSTAG 16/11 1916', which translates to: 'Copy sketch Schuibeng fra las Rest day by the oven Tuesday 16/11 1916'. The dating on the text precisely indicates the creation of the work to November 16, 1916 - World War I. The painting is framed in a simple black wooden frame and protected by glass. The paper shows natural yellowing due to age, which is typical for works of this period. The back is covered with a wooden board with a string for hanging. This drawing with watercolor is a valuable example of contemporary artistic creation and an interesting collector's item for those interested in historical fine art and documentary scenes from everyday life.
