Beschreibung: The painting depicts a romantic landscape scenery with a dominant stone tower rising amidst lush greenery. Beside the tower stands a mighty deciduous tree with a sprawling crown, its dark trunk and branches forming a distinctive element of the composition. The tower's architecture features elements of a historicizing style, with stone masonry, arched entrances, and battlements, reminiscent of medieval structures or garden follies. In the background and around the tower, a forest extends, creating depth and an atmosphere of tranquility. The painting technique is oil on canvas. The signature is not visible on the front of the work. The exact dating of the work is not determined, however, the style and execution suggest its creation in the first half to mid-20th century. The painting is in its original condition. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame, the colors are well-preserved with a natural patina. The frame is wooden, gilded, showing minor abrasions and surface defects on the gilding, which are due to use and time. The work represents an interesting example of landscape painting with an architectural motif, suitable for collectors and lovers of historical sceneries.
