Beschreibung: Oil painting on cardboard by Czech painter Zdeněk Nemastil (1879–1942), signed in the lower right. The work depicts an autumn landscape with birch trees, meadows, and a distant horizon under a cloudy sky. It is characterized by vibrant colors, an energetic brushstroke, and an emphasis on the landscape's atmosphere, all typical of Nemastil. Zdeněk Nemastil (1879–1942) was a Prague landscape painter, born in Zásmuky. He studied under Antonín Vacátko and later under Alois Šetelík. In his work, he focused primarily on realistically conceived landscapes with subtle impressionistic elements. The painting is set in its original frame with a textured surface in old gold tones. The frame shows minor signs of age, while the painting is in very good condition.
