Beschreibung: A print of the original engraving by Léopold Flameng titled "La Source" (The Source) depicts a female figure in classical style, standing on a pedestal with her arms above her head, holding a round jug from which she pours water. Finely detailed rendering of the body and expression adds sensuality and elegance to the composition. The background features decorative elements that emphasize the sculptural quality of the figure. The entire scene is presented on a large sheet of paper that shows significant signs of age, including extensive moisture stains and yellowing. The frame is wooden, originally gilded, but the passage of time has visibly affected it, with peeling gilt layers and minor cracks. Description: print, signed lower right, work description below the motif, paper significantly damaged by moisture (extensive stains), frame very damaged, glazed.
