Beschreibung: The painting depicts an old water mill with a brick arched structure and a wooden mill wheel positioned in the center of the scenic view. The mill stands on the bank of flowing water, which is depicted with vibrancy and movement. On the right side, parts of the mill building with windows and a roof are visible, while robust stone walls dominate the left side. The overall atmosphere of the painting is peaceful and nostalgic; the frame is subtle, tuned in silver-gray tones, which underlines the historical character of the work. Description: oil on canvas, signed lower right (Valérie Hachla-Myslivečková *September 28, 1878 Kutná Hora – February 26, 1968 Prague) was a Czech designer, jeweler, painter, and graphic artist).
