Beschreibung: A copper coal scuttle, also known as a hod, serves as a functional and decorative element for storing fuel near a fireplace. The body of the scuttle is made of copper, which acquires a patina over time. The scuttle is fitted with two white porcelain handles. These handles are decorated with a blue motif, typical of the Dutch Delft style. The scuttle's design is adapted for practical scooping and replenishing coal or wood into the firebox. This coal scuttle served as a standard part of fireplace tools in households with solid fuel heating and is suitable for complementing an interior.
