Beschreibung: A set of four cafe chairs in the Thonet style. These chairs were manufactured in France under the LUTETIA brand. The underside of the seat bears a burned-in stamp with the text 'LUTETIA / MADE IN FRANCE'. Lutetia is the original Latin name for Paris, referencing the Parisian market and French workshops. French workshops at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries successfully adopted and produced popular bentwood furniture, either under license or inspired by original designs. This type of seating was intended for furnishing cafes and homes. The seats are adorned with embossed decoration.
