Beschreibung: The painting captures a Post-Impressionistic landscape from the autumn or early spring period. The composition is dominated in the foreground by a body of water, likely a pond or pool with reeds, behind which an avenue of trees and a forest extend to the horizon. The work is executed in oil (possibly tempera or acrylic) on cardboard, which is characterized by a distinct embossing simulating canvas, known as artist's board or structured panel support. The painting features a quick and sketch-like hand with light brushstrokes. A prominent monotypic signature is located in the bottom right corner. The graphically stylized signature corresponds to a more modern expression typical of the second half of the 20th century. The work is dated to the period of the 1960s to 1980s. The painting is set in a light profiled strip frame with profiling and a passe-partout, which are also characteristic of this period.
