Beschreibung: A tabletop dispenser and cutter for wrapping paper, also known as a cutting stand for wrapping or butcher paper, was used in shops at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This device was an essential piece of equipment for colonial stores, general stores, and butcher shops of that era. It allowed for efficient and quick wrapping of purchases in kraft paper rolls. The mechanism for unwinding and precise cutting of paper from the roll ensured practical use in daily sales operations and facilitated the preparation of packages for customers. The item represents a functional artifact from the historical context of retail packaging.
