Beschreibung: The painting depicts a landscape motif with a wayside shrine in the foreground. The painting is executed in oil on canvas technique, with prominent brushstrokes that give the work texture and dynamism. A stone wayside shrine column dominates the composition, situated in a blossoming green meadow. Beyond the meadow lies a rolling landscape with forested areas and distant hills under a cloudy sky. The work is signed in the lower left corner "M. MESÁK". The dating of the work is determined by a dedication on the back of the frame from 1940, which indicates the period of creation. The painting is set in a wooden frame with a silver patina. On the back of the frame, there is a label with the text ""UMĚNA" World Art Bazaar at low prices. Offering thousands of paintings, engravings, modern and old. PRAGUE II., Smečky 24. Telephone 535-42. Accepts, buys, sells paintings and graphics on commission." There is also a handwritten dedication "For the holiday from dear Jana on September 28, 1940" and a price tag "1200,-" with inventory number "X 49541". The colors of the painting are rich and retain their original intensity, emphasizing the picturesque quality of the landscape scene.
