Description: Hand-modeled ceramic piggy bank in the shape of a pear with green glaze. A narrow slot allows coins to be inserted; the contents can only be removed by breaking it, which is consistent with the traditional method of making such coin banks. A decorative yet functional piece of folk pottery.
