Description: This elegant bowl in a warm amber hue is a classic example of Czechoslovak pressed glass from the Heřmanova Huť glassworks. The design, characterized by a ring of beads on the upper rim and vertical rows of raised 'drops', is attributed to the legendary designer Rudolf Schrötter. This pattern originated in the 1940s and 1950s and is valued for its geometric order and its ability to play with light refraction through the protruding lenses. The bowl is a testament to Schrötter's mastery in elevating a utilitarian object into a timeless decorative element that became an indispensable part of Czechoslovak households during the Brussels era.
