Description: This decorative plate is a prime example of the production of one of the renowned Thuringian porcelain factories (e.g., Volkstedt, Wallendorf, or Limbach) from the 19th century. The item stands out with a rich plastic relief on the rim, highlighted by delicate gilding and openwork. Both the central area and the edges are decorated with hand-painted 'scattered flowers' (Streublumen), a classic motif in European porcelain. On the underside, there is a blue underglaze mark, which in its form (imitating crossed swords) confirms its Thuringian origin, where manufactories thus declared the high quality of their white body, comparable to the Meissen production of that time.
