Description: This iconic jardiniere of clear pressed glass is the work of the prominent glass artist Jiří Zejmon (1925–1987), who designed it for Rudolfova huť in Teplice (part of the Sklo Union concern). The item bears pattern number 13262/8x8 squares, earning it the apt popular nickname "Panelák" (meaning "panel block" or "prefabricated concrete building") among collectors. The design, originating from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, stands out with its brutalist aesthetic and geometric rigor. The thick-walled glass combined with the raised decor creates impressive optical effects when light strikes it. This jardiniere represents one of the pinnacles of Czechoslovak pressed glass and remains a sought-after design element in modern interiors.
