Description: This all-metal, mechanical flip calendar is a beautiful example of First Republic advertising and office design. The body of the calendar is made of pressed sheet metal with a delicate Art Nouveau-Art Deco floral motif rendered in blue and silver. The days (numerals) are changed mechanically using side levers. On the back of the base, there is an embossed mark of the original Prague manufacturer of mechanical calendars, "HERRMANN & POLÁČEK, PRAGUE II". The front of the base is adorned with an original advertising label from the significant regional company "BRATŘI NOVOZÁMSKÝ (BNK), MĚSTEC KRÁLOVÉ", which served as a corporate gift for business partners. The calendar includes a set of interchangeable month name cards that were inserted into the lower window. Some of the paper month cards show significant signs of mechanical wear.
