Description: This pair of solid, precisely crafted buttons represents a beautiful example of French historical haberdashery. Originally, these buttons adorned a gentleman's or servant's livery (uniform) in wealthier circles. The front side is dominated by an intricately intertwined, decorative monogram, elegantly framed by a raised motif of a buckled belt – a popular historical element symbolizing loyalty, order, and belonging. On the reverse side, with a solid loop for sewing, the clear embossing of the famous Parisian manufacturer 'S & R PARIS' is visible, complemented by a specific number (79 M). The buttons have retained their beautiful original luster and show only minimal signs of period wear.
