Description: This iconic Christmas bulb represents the pinnacle of Czechoslovak glassmaking and design production from the first half of the 20th century. The light is designed in the shape of a stylized multi-pointed star or sun. The center consists of a raised hemisphere with a prominent facet cut that created beautiful reflections when lit. Around this center, rays of colored glass are set in a metal crown. This entire glass mosaic is mounted on a classic bakelite or metal socket with a fine wire loop (green braided cable) that was used to attach the bulb directly to a Christmas tree branch. These strings, produced in various color combinations (ruby red, turquoise, amber), are among the most sought-after retro Christmas decorations from the socialist era.
