Description: A set of four bound annual volumes of the magazine Světozor – a contemporary world chronicle in words and pictures, comprising the years 1905 and 1906, each in volumes 1 and 2. The magazine was published weekly for entertainment and instruction, with Aug. Eug. Mužík as editor, and J. Otto in Prague as publisher. Individual issues contain period articles, news, photographs, and illustrations dedicated to politics, society, culture, technology, and events in the Czech lands and abroad. The orange canvas bindings feature gilded inscriptions and decor, showing stains, scuffs, and edge wear; the paper is yellowed in places, and some pages have handwritten notes. Suitable for a library, for studying period press, or as a collector's set.
