Description: An antique mechanical corkscrew of French origin with a solid metal body and a transverse bone handle. The body is decorated with circumferential lines and a raised heraldic motif, while the upper part consists of a spirally shaped metal mechanism. The corkscrew operates on a screw principle, where turning the handle drives the worm into the cork stopper, and then the stopper is pulled out of the bottle neck. The handle holder is damaged – one part of the bone handle is broken off. The corkscrew's worm itself is preserved. The metal parts show significant patina, abrasions, and signs of age and use. Suitable as a collector's item, decoration, or for repair.
