Description: A hand-painted Persian miniature on paper depicting a couple in a garden under blossoming trees. The composition is executed with fine drawing and opaque colors in the traditional Persian style, with typical stylization of figures, clothing, vegetation, and mountain landscape. The work likely originates from Iran, during the Qajar dynasty period, 19th century, approximately from the mid to the second half of the 19th century. Dimensions of the painting itself without frame: approx. 9.5 × 17 cm. The miniature is set in an older frame with a passe-partout. Condition is consistent with age; minor losses of the color layer, stains, and other traces of age are visible in places; the frame is scuffed.
