Description: An old professional doctor's bag made of black leather with a sturdy handle and brass fittings. When opened, it features a compartmentalized interior with a series of loops, pockets, and compartments designed for storing medical instruments, bottles, and other equipment. The inner parts are also covered in black leather and decorated with fine gold pinstriping. The construction and arrangement are consistent with medical or surgical bags from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries up to the first third of the 20th century. The front features a brass plate and a circular metal clasp. Condition corresponds to age and use – the leather is scuffed, dried, and cracked in places, with minor deformations, traces of use, and interior wear visible. Metal parts have a natural patina. Without original medical equipment.
