Description: Framed document MÉDAILLE D'HONNEUR DU TRAVAIL DIJON 1980. This is an official French certificate awarded by the Ministry of Labor (MINISTÈRE DU TRAVAIL) as the Medal of Labor Honor (MÉDAILLE D'HONNEUR DU TRAVAIL). The award was presented to Mr. Gilbert FAIVRE, a machinist at A. DETOUILLON & FILS, for TRENTE CINQ (thirty-five) years of his professional service. The document bears the texts RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE (French Republic), LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity), Le Ministre du Travail (Minister of Labor), and IMPRIMERIE NATIONALE (National Printing Office). The certificate was issued in DIJON on January 16, 1980. The piece is mounted in a wooden frame with a passe-partout. The document's paper is yellowed and shows visible stains, especially in the upper part and on the sides, which is a natural consequence of archiving. The frame has a wooden structure and shows minor surface abrasions. The reverse side is fitted with a cardboard backing and the original hanging mechanism. This historical document represents an interesting collector's item for those interested in French history, labor awards, and administrative artifacts from the mid-20th century.
