Description: A figural scene depicting the portrait of an older man with a mustache, wearing a dark beret and brown clothing with a prominent green tie. The author of the work is not definitively identified; the brushwork is characterized by a distinct painting texture. The oil on cardboard technique shows a high degree of impasto. The signature with the date 1952 is located in the lower right of the painting surface. The work is mounted in a profiled wooden frame with an ochre and gold finish, under glass. The painting is in very good condition, the protective glass is undamaged. The frame shows significant signs of wear with extensive losses of the paint layer, exposed substrate, and numerous abrasions around the entire perimeter. Suitable for collectors of post-war portrait art.
