Description: A black-and-white photograph depicting a gathering of soldiers or a military procession with flags at a stone war memorial. The scene is set on a paved area, likely during a commemorative event. This historical snapshot offers a glimpse into a memorial event, making it a valuable document of its time. The photograph is mounted in a dark, richly carved wooden frame with ornamental details and features a fabric passe-partout. Both the artwork and the frame are in very good condition, considering their age. The photograph shows a slight patina and paper discoloration typical of historical materials. The work is estimated to date from the first half of the 20th century, probably the period after World War I, reflecting the social events of that time. On the back of the frame, there is an original label from the passe-partout maker and framer with the text: J. DANNEEL, SCULPTEUR-ENCADREUR, MARSC. AR. VAN GOBIOT S. OVER 6, UCCLE, ARRE DU HAM 9 A, AV. DES SEPT BONNIERS. The original mounting in a decorative frame from the workshop of Belgian sculptor and framer J. Danneel from Uccle adds collector's value and authenticity to the item.
