Description: Extendable English table, known as a gateleg table, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The item is made of solid oak. Its design is characteristic of the period, particularly with typical spiral-turned legs, referred to as barley twist. The construction includes a folding top with two side wings, known as drop-leaves. When the support legs are unfolded, the top extends to create an oval surface that can serve as a side or dining table. This table represents a functional piece of 19th-century furniture. Dimensions when extended: 100 cm.
