Description: A ceramic vase from the renowned Tupesy Pottery, the original workshop of the Úředníček family in the village of Tupesy. The item is decorated with hand-painting featuring a prominent floral motif in shades of blue, yellow, and green, complemented by geometric patterns at the neck and base. This decorative vase represents a typical example of applied ceramics from the Slovácko region. The bottom of the vase bears an impressed circular stamp with the text SLOVÁCKO at the top and TUPESY CZECHOSLOVAKIA at the bottom. In the center of the stamp is a stylized monogram of Ú and T, which is an intertwined abbreviation of two institutions under which the manufactory operated: ÚLUV – Central Office of Folk and Artistic Production, and SVD – Slovácké Art Cooperative. The letters are impressed into a single graphic symbol, where Ú forms the outer arc, a vertical T is in the middle, and the whole is enclosed in a lower arc O. Next to this complete stamp, the shape model number 13 is separately embossed, indicating a specific form of production from that time. This version of the mark, with an English inscription and country of origin, was used on products intended for export and sale in the second half of the 20th century, during the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (ČSSR) period. This pottery is valued for its artistic merit and sought after by collectors of folk art.
