Description: A copper pot, or possibly a cauldron, is tin-crafted from solid copper sheet. The outer surface of the vessel bears a characteristic dark patina that has developed over time. The inside of the vessel is tinned, which protected food and liquids from direct contact with copper. Sturdy metal handles are riveted to the sides for easier handling. At the bottom of the vessel, a distinct circular indentation is visible, which served as a reinforced spot for installing a drain valve or tap. This structural modification allowed the vessel to be used for heating and distributing water or other liquids. The dating of the object most likely falls between the late 19th century and the period of the First Republic, which is characteristic of copper cookware with similar functionality and manufacturing methods.
