Description: Stove from the Swedish company Optimus, dated to the first half of the 20th century. The inscription SWEDEN is clearly embossed on the fuel tank cap. The valve bears the embossing STOCKHOLM. On the side of the brass tank, there is extensive text stating: "...MAKERS OF THE GENUINE OPTIMUS APPARATUS...". This text, translated as "Manufacturers of genuine Optimus appliances," was a characteristic declaration by Aktiebolaget Optimus on their stoves. Based on the design of the burner and the cast-iron grate, it is either an Optimus No. 1 or Optimus No. 5 model. The item is made of brass and cast iron. The patina on the brass and inscriptions attests to its authentic age without signs of modern chemical interventions. This kerosene stove represents a collector's item for enthusiasts of outdoor equipment and historical camping artifacts.
