Description: A portrait of the famous music composer Ludwig van Beethoven. The painter Josef Konečný (1916–1989) created this work in 1953, accurately capturing the composer's characteristic stern expression, wild gray hair, and typical attire consisting of a blue coat and a red scarf tied around his neck. In the upper part of the painting, there is a handwritten dedication. On the left is the text: „VÁM, PANE MINISTŘE, ZA VŠECKO CO JSTE MĚ UJASNIL.“ (TO YOU, MR. MINISTER, FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE CLARIFIED FOR ME.) On the right, the author's signature and date complete the composition: „JOS. KONEČNÝ 1953“. This work from the 1950s was evidently gifted to the then-minister, likely the Minister of Education, Science and Arts, or Culture, as a personal thank you from Josef Konečný.
