Beschreibung: This traditional Asian cast iron tea kettle (Tetsubin type) represents a magnificent example of artistic metal casting and oriental design. The kettle's massive body has an unusual, elegantly structured polygonal shape and stands on small cast iron feet. The outer walls are divided into individual panels, adorned with a delicate, finely crafted low relief featuring traditional motifs of mountainous landscapes, Chinese or Japanese pavilions, pagodas, and trees growing on rocks. The kettle is equipped with a robust, firmly attached movable handle for easy manipulation and a cast iron lid with a decorative round finial. The item is in its original, very well-preserved found condition with a natural dark patina and traces of surface corrosion, which underscore its authentic age and historical value. This attractive piece is ideal as a stylish decoration, a luxurious element for tea ceremonies, or a valuable addition to a collection of Asian antiques.
