Beschreibung: A decorative desk paperweight crafted from a metal artillery fuze, mounted on a shaped wooden base with brass inlays. The item represents an authentic example of so-called Trench Art, i.e., objects created from military material and its parts, often as personal mementos, souvenirs, or decorative items. The wooden base is complemented by several recesses and holes for small writing or office supplies. The metal part bears a significant patina, oxidation, and traces of age; the wood is scuffed and damaged in places. An interesting collector's item with military history, also suitable as an office decoration or a film prop.
