The handles of the instruments are made of a material resembling bone or ivory, complemented by metal ferrules with engraved decor. The knife blade shows oxidation. The casket is covered with a dark red material and lined inside with padded fabric. The internal arrangement of the casket is adapted for the safe storage of the individual writing instruments.
