Beschreibung: A bed warmer, also known as a warming pan, is a historical item designed for heating and drying a bed. Its primary function was to provide thermal comfort during cold winter months. The warmer's pan was traditionally filled with hot embers from a fireplace. A long handle allowed the user to safely maneuver the warmer under the bedding without direct contact with the hot embers. The top part features a perforated lid with star and circular-shaped holes, which allow for even heat distribution while preventing embers from falling out. Currently, these bed warmers are primarily used as decorative collector's items, reflecting earlier methods of domestic heating and bed care.
