Beschreibung: This hand-knotted tribal wool rug features a specific composition referencing nomadic and semi-nomadic traditions. The design combines influences from Transcaucasian, Anatolian, and Persian tribal patterns, such as Shirvan, Dagestan, or Southwestern Persia. The central field, in a delicate salmon to apricot shade, is set with five large, geometrically structured tribal medallions arranged in a rhomboid composition. These motifs are complemented by small scattered crosses and geometric florets. Both the upper and lower parts of the main field are enclosed by a distinctive stepped border in brown, filled with small geometric decor in blue, beige, and brown tones. This border resembles a prayer niche (mihrab) or architectural elements. The lower and upper outer bands of the rug feature a series of stylized animal figures, probably camels, deer, or horses, alternating in dark blue and brown. The presence of zoomorphic motifs is characteristic of tribal rugs. The reverse side confirms handwork; the knots show minor irregularities in tension typical of domestic tribal weaving. Both warp and weft are made of natural material. The edge of the rug is finished with naturally continuing, hand-braided and knotted fringes, showing a slight patina. The sides are hand-bound. The rug measures 330 × 200 cm, representing an area of 6.6 m². A format exceeding three meters in length is less common for tribal rugs with this type of detailed pattern, as nomadic pieces are more often smaller due to the limitations of portable looms.
