Beschreibung: This copper saucepan is from the French professional cookware manufacturer Bourgeat. Bourgeat was founded in France in 1918. In 2002, it merged with the French brand Matfer and currently operates as a global leader in gastronomy under the name Matfer Bourgeat. The bottom of the saucepan features an embossed inscription 'MADE IN FRANCE' above the name 'BOURGEAT' and below it, the number '16'. The 'MADE IN FRANCE' inscription guarantees the French quality of the copper cookware. French copper cookware from manufacturers like Bourgeat or Mauviel is globally considered top-tier for professional chefs and collectors alike. The number 16 indicates the internal diameter of the saucepan in centimeters. This style of embossed logo with the curved 'MADE IN FRANCE' inscription above the name 'BOURGEAT' was used on cookware approximately in the 1970s to 1980s. Newer pieces from the manufacturer Matfer Bourgeat feature a circular stamp with a number in the center.
