Glass 'Mercury Glass' Candlestick

ID: k01286
Category: Lighting Fixtures
Subcategory: Candlesticks
Location: Old store

Condition: Used

Description: Elegant antique blown glass candlestick with an internal silvered surface (likely the technique of silvering glass from the inside, known as 'queensware' or 'Mercury glass'). The upper part is designed to hold a candle, with a slight flare and a subtly narrowed neck. The surface exhibits patina and minor signs of wear, which attest to the age and authenticity of the piece. It likely dates from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
