Description: Metal tennis racket by AMF Head, made in the USA, dating from the 1970s. Head was one of the pioneers of metal rackets, which gradually replaced classic wooden models. The racket features a metal frame with a typical blue reinforcing triangle and an original leather grip. The AMF Head – Made in U.S.A. logo along with patent numbers is preserved at the end of the handle. This type of racket was among the first mass-produced metal models and was also used by professional players. Such rackets are sought after today as collectible sports artifacts, suitable for collections of historical sports equipment or as a decorative item for tennis enthusiasts.
