Description: A pair of historical wooden skates with original metal blades and leather straps, marked with the print “Frieslands Beste Schaats – Akkrum – Friesland”, typical of quality Dutch production from the first half of the 20th century; these so-called “Friese doorlopers” are designed to be attached to regular footwear using a system of leather straps and laces, with the solid wood bearing a natural patina and minor traces of use, which underscore their authenticity. The metal parts correspond to period craftsmanship, and the entire set is in very well-preserved condition, making it ideal as a stylish decorative item, a valuable collector's piece, or a period prop.
