Description: This trio of solid brass buttons with iron backs represents a classic example of historical forestry and hunting haberdashery from the turn of the century. Each piece features its original wire loop for sewing and bears a different, intricately detailed raised relief on a granulated background, depicting a stag's head in profile, a running hunting dog, and a wild boar's head with bared tusk. While the front side has retained an attractive brass patina, highlighting the anatomical details of the game, the iron reverse side exhibits natural surface corrosion consistent with age and authentic use on period clothing.
