Description: Large old technical nautical magnifying glass, likely intended for viewing navigation maps and nautical charts. Features a prominent massive construction with a large glass magnifying lens set in a metal frame with brass elements. The magnifying glass is equipped with a swivel mechanism, locking elements, and a metal handle, allowing for manipulation and adjustment to the desired position. The structural design suggests original mounting on a navigation or map workstation. An interesting historical technical item with both decorative and collectible character, suitable for a nautical-themed interior, study, or a collection of old optical instruments. The lens is functional and magnifies the image. Metal parts show natural patina, oxidation, and signs of use; the glass exhibits surface signs of age.
